Hello
I'm Amanda Solt. It's my calling to help people relax. My toolkit includes yoga and sound healing, which I use to create experiences you can fully sink into. When I'm not spreading chill vibes (or trying to find some chill for myself), I'm a mom to two endlessly amazing and energetic kiddos, Alice (12) and Carter (3) and a wife to my endlessly patient and supportive husband Derek. We live in Ham Lake, MN, with three cats because life just wasn't complicated enough.
My Story
I recently stepped out of corporate American after years of struggling to balance motherhood and a demanding corporate job at a Fortune 50 company. Leaving that world behind after almost 16 years at the same company was not an impulse; it was a deeply gut-wrenching choice. On the other side of that decision, I've felt nothing but relief.
The catalyst for leaving my corporate career was my growing passion for yoga as a path to better mental health. I decided to take yoga teacher training in August 2024 after years of consideration and nudging from Derek. We knew then it could be a path out of the corporate life, which was draining me as we added a second baby (Carter) to our family. Pregnancy in my 40s was no joke, and the journey left me with a debilitating back injury. Yoga was helping me manage the pain, as it had helped me through both of my pregnancies and all the years between.
But when the back pain became unmanageable, I had a choice. I could essentially take life lying down, unable to do much at all, or I could have a discectomy, which would leave me unable to lift anything over 10 pounds for at least 6 weeks. Carter weighed 25 pounds at the time. I had the surgery, despite the limits it put on my interactions with my baby. I felt immediately better -- the pain of the surgical incision didn't even compare to the pain of the disc that had been sitting on my sciatic nerve.
In the long days of recovery, the silence and slowness gave me real time to think and listen.
And I knew it was time to take a step off the path I was traveling. I haven't been the same since that training, but maybe I'm just becoming who I always was because I finally had the space to hear myself.
If you're reading this, I hope something in my story lands with you. If you're a woman feeling deeply exhausted, burned out, anxious or depressed, unfulfilled, or at odds with your own reality, I invite you to take a deep inhale and pause. Imagine. What could be possible for you with even a little time and space to hear yourself?
It would be my honor to help you create that time and space. Let's connect to discuss what that looks like for you.
